ENGWR 301 - Professor O'Brien (Spring 2020): Welcome

Welcome

Hello Class!  My name is Hilary Mroczka, and I'm a librarian at ARC.  This guide was designed to help you with your ENGWR 301 research assignment.

If you are new to the research process or if you'd like to brush up on your research skills, I recommend you take a look at the Library Tutorials mentioned below.

If you have a research related question that you'd like to connect with a librarian about, here are a few options for you:

  • Email me directly at: mroczkh@arc.losrios.edu (I'll email you back within 24 hours Mon - Fri).
  • Use the 24/7 Chat with a Librarian global service.
  • Call the Research Help Desk (916-484-8458) and leave a message.  A librarian will call you back within 24 hours (Mon - Fri).

A reminder, to use any of the library's databases, you will need to enter your eServices username (w+student ID) and password.

Happy Searching!

Library Tutorials

If you are unfamiliar with the research process or want to brush up on your skills, please complete the Library's What is Research Tutorial and the Getting Started with Research TutorialThe tutorials were designed by Los Rios librarians for Los Rios students, so you'll be able to apply what you learn to all of the resources in our libraries.  Each of these tutorials will take 15-30 minutes to complete.  You can also receive a certificate of complete if you score 75% or higher!

NOTE:  To login from off-campus, you will need your eServices username (w+student ID) and password.
