Use Essential Keywords
Use 2-3 keywords from your topic and/or a question you have about your topic to use one of the databases in the "Getting Started - General Databases" box.
For example, if my topic was "vaping education and prevention group for middle schoolers", I might try the following searches:

Use an asterisk after the root of a word to find similar words.
Example: teen* would find: teen, teens, teenager
Example: wom*n would find: woman, women
These sources are often good starting points for researching controversial issues. They'll give you an overview and alert you to issues in your topic which you may want to focus on.
Use 2-3 keywords in the two databases below to find some background information on your topic.
Example: vaping (adolescent* or teen*)
Example: grief recovery parent
Viewpoint articles on current social issues and controversial topics.
OneSearch is one place to search for many different kinds of sources, including; books, eBooks, academic articles, news articles, videos, and more.
