ART 323 - Professor Solis Mattson (Fall 2025): Searching with Google

Tips for using Google

The more relevant your keywords, the more relevant your results are likely to be.

So, below are a few tips for when you're using Google and other similar tools to look for information about your topic:

1. Be succinct and concise in your phrasing.

For example:  What pigments are used in blue? vs. What pigments are used in the color blue?

2. Scan results for keywords/phrases that might be useful for refining your results in OneSearch.

3. Add your keywords/phrase to OneSearch and scan for relevant results.
