Peace and Diversity Children's Book Collection: Articles
In conjunction with the Early Childhood Education program at American River College the ARC Library has created a Peace and Diversity Collection for children. There are over 150 books in the collection and it will be continually added to.
Developing Tolerance and Understanding of Family Diversity. - The article discusses the role of the libraries in preventing prejudice and discrimination of the children of same sex couples. It states that libraries could prevent discrimination by addressing sexual orientation and offering books in the children's collection to help the develop tolerance and understand family diversity.
