OneSearch tips for literature research:

  1. Put the title of the novel or poem in quotation marks and then the author's last name 

Example: "The Ballad of Rudolph Reed" Brooks

  1. Try adding one of the terms below to either the author's last name or title to get more specific results:

Analysis, Criticism, Interpretation


Some Example Searches Using the Tips Above:

  • "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” Eliot
  • T.S. Eliot (analysis OR criticism) 
  • "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” (analy* OR criti*) 

Remember to take advantage of the limiters on the left of your search results to narrow your results.
