LIBRARY OF CONGRESS CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM

The ARC  Library, like many   academic libraries in the United States, uses the Library of Congress   Classification (LC) for call numbers. This system uses a combination of   letters and numbers to arrange materials by subjects. The first letter(s) of   a call number represent the broad subject of the material.
