The services, listed below, are available during spring and fall semesters.

Text: Text your questions to (916) 604-8976. We will respond as soon as possible. This service is staffed Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. during the spring and fall semesters.

Email: To send an email, use the Email Reference form. A librarian will respond within 24 hours Monday-Friday. If immediate assistance is preferred, call the Research Help Desk or use the chat box.

Chat: This service is staffed during business hours whenever possible. During busy times, it may be necessary to contact a librarian using one of the other methods listed.

Research Appointments: Appointments provide one-on-one sessions with a librarian, where you will get the undivided attention of a librarian for up to thirty minutes. These are available in person only and must be made two business days in advance. To check availability, see the Get Help page.
