What is the LSP?

The library uses an library software platform to manage a large number of activities and resources. The products, provided by the vendor ExLibris, are: Alma (back-end) and Primo VE (front-end) discovery service, which we have branded as OneSearch. This software allows us to:

1. maintain our catalog of books and other items, both physical books in the library and ebooks (Alma)
2. provides a front-end search engine that allows users to find local items and database content (Primo/OneSearch)
   1. The Los Rios Libraries pay for subscriptions to ~80 databases that can be searched across seamlessly through OneSearch
3. circulate items (check-outs, check-ins, renewals) (Alma)
4. track purchases (Alma)
5. analyze use of the collection (Alma Analytics)

The four Los Rios Libraries share this system:

• CRC OneSearch
• FLC OneSearch
• SCC OneSearch 

110 of the 114 California Community College libraries use this same software system, and some of the cloud-based back-end features are shared across the CCC system. Alma and Primo are also currently in use at a large number of universities, including the entire CSU system.

The ARC library, college and district websites are all managed in one instance of the content management system Ingeniux.

LibApps is a suite of services provided by Springshare used by libraries to share information and manage library services and resources.
