Hello Class! My name is Marianne Harris, and I designed this guide to help you with your ENGWR 302 research assignment. Before we dive any further, if you'd like to learn a little bit about me, feel free to watch the "Meet Marianne the Librarian" video.
One of the most important pieces of information I'd like you to hold on to is that I, and all of the other librarians at ARC, are available to assist you with any questions you have about any part of the research process required for this class. You can click on the "Contact a Librarian" box below to call us or email any one of us. You can also make a Research Appointment with us by clicking on the icon below and following the prompts.
If you are new to the research process or if you'd like to brush up on your research skills, I recommend you complete the What is Research Tutorial and the Getting Started with Research Tutorial. These tutorials were designed by Los Rios librarians for Los Rios students, so you'll be able to apply what you learn to all of the resources in our libraries.
If you have any specific questions the resources found in this guide, or if have any suggestions for additions or improvements, please let me know directly. You can email me at: harrism@arc.losrios.edu
Happy Searching!
If you are unfamiliar with the research process or want to brush up on your skills, please complete the Library's What is Research Tutorial and the Getting Started with Research Tutorial. Each of these tutorials will take 15-30 minutes to complete. You can also receive a certificate of complete if you score 75% or higher!
NOTE: To login from off-campus, you will need your eServices username (w+student ID) and password.
Contact a Librarian!
You can call us and a librarian will answer your call during regular business hours. You can also email us, and we'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday) when school is in session.
Schedule a Research Appointment
You don't have to make a Research Appointment to get help from a librarian, but there are benefits to making one:
