What is this guide?
Looking for something to read? This recommended reading guide has a selection of books for just that. This is a compilation of novels published since 1900 that are in the ARC Library’s collection. Some of these titles may be on your course required reading lists, many are simply recommended to broaden your exposure to a variety of literature.
The title of each book in this list is linked to its library record, where you can see its availability and location. Keep in mind that the library has a lot more novels than just what is listed in this guide. This list is selective, focusing on works of lasting importance. As this is a compilation, a lot of good books were left off the list. Please contact the library if you think there is a title worthy to be on this list.
