ENGWR 300a - Professor Leung (Spring 2024): Welcome

What Should I Do on This Page?

You can use the content on this page to connect with a librarian whenever you need to work with one (even at 1am via the "Chat with a Librarian" service!).

You can also access a set of Research Tutorials that have been designed with you, as a Los Rios student, in mind.  You can work through each of the tutorials or complete the ones most relevant to you, at your own pace (so you can also work through these at 1am, if you like).

Research Tutorials

One of the resources available to you are research tutorials.  These tutorials were designed by Los Rios librarians for Los Rios students, so if you are new to the research process or if you'd like to brush up on your research skills, you can complete any or all of the tutorials:

  • What Is Research?
  • Getting Started with Research
  • OneSearch Basics
  • Evaluating & Selecting Sources
  • Fact-Check: Understanding Misinformation and Disinformation
  • Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism

If you have any specific questions the resources found in this guide, or if have any suggestions for additions or improvements, please let me know directly.  You can email me at: harrism@arc.losrios.edu

Happy Searching!
